Johannes Goransson is the coeditor of Action Books and the new online quarterly Action, Yes. Last fall Action Books published Remainland: Selected Poems of Aase Berg, which he translated from Swedish. About the text: These texts in La Petite Zine are not poems per se. They are more like souvenirs from a riot at an amusement park or scabs from a bicycle accident. They are not works of art themselves but the results of the artwork. The genre is called Party. This is a translation of Oyvind Fahlström's Kalas (usually translated as Feast, as in I am feasting on a lamb shank.). The on-going collection of all these parties is called The Secessions because I live in Alabama. |
