THREE POEMS
by William Allegreza

realized a mistake
somewhere

                    r4 s8 i

into you
finding cut hands laughing with parrots over locust limbs

to reseed numbers in rows
                   along
                                     lone texas highways
                                     that burn with summer heat
                                                                         when deer pass
                                                                                                            silently
you suck a last show
as songs repeat
under fluorescent lights on a desk

                      fortune's wheel turns

guido, j'ai bien reçu votre message: "amor m'assale"

                   bingo numbers roll
alongside lake windows
                                                           cheerful elders sip cognac
                                        and dance slowly

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
forced regretfullness
when our situation becomes clear
in empty hours to be filled
with chaotic thoughts
like desire's drapery
on edge
                    between
                   dark thoughts
                   and the end
                                       to collapse in
                                                          self-referential
                                                textuality
insistence
to find
not in reaction
or thingness                  is
we've nails scattered
hardware     release
arms
to upbraid
release handles
for fortunate understatement
residence
finding types of judith
among list of asian numbers
tides
green dances on water
under bridges where sparrows nest
leaving modernism beneath
on canvases of cement
in texas
marble lined streets
and ice cream vendors
dared to circle
the sun
